To be responsible for strategic planning and resource management of the Centre
To develop the Centre’s R&D infrastructure and networks
To develop major bids for external funding
To oversee the implementation of the research agenda and strategies of the Centre
To monitor the research programmes and projects undertaken by the Centre
To assist the Centre Director in preparing regular reports to the Committee on Research and Development
To monitor the Centre’s financial position on a regular basis
